In January we started with two new members, and our first event was at Piston Ring in Modderfontein.

February 2013 News
The 3rd of February we went to Lovers Rock for a Car Show and we were a convoy of 10 Ford Cortina's and it was a fun and relaxing day. At this event we added five new members to our club.

Like every 3rd Sunday of the month our club members meet at Piston Ring Club in Modderfontein on the 17th of February. Here you can also buy some Fresh Hamburgers and Hotdogs, and dont forget fresh Samoosa's.


April 2013 News
21 April we went to Piston Ring in Modderfontein which had a big Ford Day and we had about 25 Ford Cortina's present and we got a few new members at this event.


27 April was at A's Cafe in Van Dyk Park this event is held on a regular basis hosted by, Johan Mini Van Den Heever in aid of charity.


28 April we went to The Old Mill in Springs for our Car of the Day winner's photo shoot and we had a picnic while the photo shoot was being done by LWPhotography and the public thought it was a car show and it did not stop them from still coming to have a look at these cars and we got two new club members from this Photo Shoot in Springs. 

 March 2013 News
The 3rd of March we all convoy'd to Nasrec Expo Centre for the big Classic Car Show hosted by www.classiccars.co.za and Rolling Thunder.

We started meeting up from Rondebult Boksburg then Comaro offramp, to the event. We support convoy's because it looks WOW if 15+ more Ford Cortina's drive together and you see the reaction from the public.


We had 47 Club members at this event and we walked away with the Prize for the best Represented club on the day and won a Photo Shoot Voucher for the Club sponsered by LWPhotography, Email: lwphotography2013@gmail.com


The Car of the day was won by Dee and he won a Photo Shoot for his Ford Cortina's Sponsered by LWPhotography and Mk1 winner was, Andries and the Mk2 winner was, Salim, Mk3 winner was ...................then in our Mk4 the winner was Roy and our Mk5 winner was Dee again!

 May 2013 News
1st of May, Winter was closing in but that does not stop our Ford Cortina owner to get up at four in the morning to go to a car show, in Potchefstroom 140km from home.
Our convoy had 12+ Ford Cortina's meeting up at various spots, and at the event we had about 15 cars present. This show is held yearly for the past 21 years at the Church Square and is not to be missed so make sure to go next year if you did miss this year.
We got four new members at this event making our club growing at each event we attend.
Our club also won: Two lucky draw's that was won by Graig and Ted. Danie won the 1ste Prize for the best looking car for the club at the day, Hennie won 2nd place and 3rd place was won by the Chairman Dirk.

 12 May

We did, a Charity Goodwill run for the Gateway School in Ruimsig at President Hyper in Krugersdorp. Hosted by Centenary Car Club which is held every year and they collect unspoiled food and blankets for this school.
Our club once again did us proud by winning a few prizes on this mother's day. Cartrien and Ria won a lucky draw and Catrien won the prize for the mother of the day as well, and she had the priviledge to choose the "Car of the day".
Ford Cortinaclubsa won again: Ted won the "Car of the day" and The club won the Trophy for the best represented club of the day with 18 Club Cortina's.
Well from me, Dirk I would like to thank each and every member of Ford Cortinaclubsa for their support and great team spirit, I am super proud of how "OUR" club is growing. And a special thank you to Ria who always makes sure that we have table with our Club items on sale, and for making everyone feel welcome.
